Common questions

Is the free tier actually free, forever?

Yes. The free tier is permanent, not a trial. Core viewing, annotation, page management, OCR, smart clipboard, and redaction integrity checking have no time limit and require no account.

What happens if I cancel Pro?

Your account reverts to the free tier at the end of your billing period. All your documents and annotations remain yours — nothing is deleted or locked. Pro features stop being available until you resubscribe.

Does Pro require an internet connection?

Your license is validated on launch via Lemon Squeezy. If network validation fails, the app uses your cached license for up to 7 days. Free tier features work forever with no network access and no license key at all.

Does Vexifa ever see my documents?

No. Vexifa PDF Suite processes everything locally. The only network call the app makes is license validation to Lemon Squeezy's API. AI processing, OCR, PII scanning, and redaction all run on your machine.

What does the Healthcare BAA cover?

The BAA is a local-first agreement — Vexifa never holds or accesses your PHI. It covers software vulnerability disclosure obligations and the security controls built into the Healthcare edition. Accepted at first launch via click-through, no separate signature required. See the PDF Suite Privacy Policy for full details.

Are Healthcare and Legal trials free?

Yes — Healthcare is 90 days, Legal is 60 days, no credit card required for either. The BAA (Healthcare) or privilege acknowledgment (Legal) is required on day one. Trials convert to annual billing by default on purchase.
